A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME AND MY JOURNEY.
Born in small farm town in the hills of Jamaica, I was constantly surrounded by vibrant colors and culture. One of my fondest memories in Jamaica is making flower dolls with my sister using hibiscus flowers and other foliage for their clothes and hair. At the tender age of 7, my mother brought me to New York City in pursuit of a better life. I always had a love for all things fashion and art.
I developed my drawing abilities during my years attending the Charter High school for Architecture + Design and refined my fashion design skills at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Shortly after graduating college, I moved to Miami Beach Florida, where I worked for lingerie, swimwear and resort wear companies. While working at these companies I discovered that I have a great eye and ability with patterns.
I decided to seriously pursue surface pattern design and illustration in 2022, because of the joy I experience making them and the alternative lifestyle it affords me.
My designs have a contemporary playful and whimsical feel. I love fresh bold colors and find inspiration for my designs in my daily life, nature and my travels. I love working with both vector and raster files.
